Senator Me and the Great Divide
Chuck Hagel (a/k/a Senator Me) embarassed our Red State bloviating before Gen. Petraeus today. He as much as said that he would not believe the general--that this administration could not be trusted and the general was just a pawn of the administration.
"C'mon!" he bellowed, "Where's it (Iraq) going?"
He tacitly accused Gen. Petraeus of cooking the numbers. It was clear he was not buying what the general was saying about progress in Iraq. He would not be convinced. He chose to take the word of 7 isolated NCO's who expressed their personal opinions in the NYTimes a few weeks ago over Gen. Petraeus's thorough analysis.

HAGEL HOUND: Senator Hagel, AWOL
Pardon the Hound for the presumption that when two units of the Nebraska National Guard, the 1-167th Cav and the 134th Infantry, returned from 15 months of service to freedom, Nebraska's most famous war veteran Chuck Hagel would be on hand, thanking our troops for service to their great nation. Brothers in arms, one would think.

In an article entitled "Look Back in Anger--The Unmooring of Chuck Hagel," The New Republic interviewed a number of people about the Hagel Hound's favorite target. Here is what the worst President in history's National Security Advisor had to say about Chuck:
Former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski says of Hagel, "I like the guy, and I admire his views. We see eye-to-eye on the majority of issues. I won't say we see eye-to-eye on every issue, but if you ask what we don't agree on, I wouldn't be able to answer."
