Shooting Straight on Iraq: The Book
Here’s a fact I’ll bet you didn’t know: there used to be Iraqi Boy Scouts.The Boy Scouts of Iraq were established in 1954, but under Saddam severe restrictions were placed on the scouting program and, imagine it, Saddam started his own brand of scouting. Undoubtedly, one that taught boys how to be tyrannical despots.
Though the Iraqi Boy Scouts faded away after Sadaam’s rise to power, they have made a return thanks to the Greatest Military in the world. In fact, here is video of Iraqi boy scouts cleaning up their new camp.
I learned this completely underreported fact from talking with a new friend of the Red State Rascals, Shane Clapper.
Shane has roots here in the reddest of the red states and he has chronicled the good news from Iraq in Shooting Straight: How the American led Coalition is Winning in Iraq due out in November from Tate Publishing.
Thanks to Shane for being the first author to begin telling this great story in book form–a story the mainstream media has completely missed.
