An Inconvenient Truth
Liberals will have to duck and hide from this fact coming out of Iraq today: “‘Chemical Ali’ Sentenced to Hang in Iraq”. From the WaPo:
“BAGHDAD, June 24 — Three senior aides to Saddam Hussein, including the one known as “Chemical Ali,” were found guilty of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity by the Iraqi High Tribunal on Sunday and sentenced to death by hanging for their roles in the mass slaughter of as many as 180,000 Kurds in northern Iraq in the late 1980s.”
This FACT conflicts terribly with the liberal line that “Bush lied, thousands died.” This is the inconvenient truth: “Sadaam spoke and thousands died–180,000 men, women, and children.”
There is a word for what Sadaam tried to do: genocide. Liberals usually love talking about genocide (Rhwanda, Darfur, etc.)–I doubt they’ll have much to say to one another about the Kurdish genocide (or ”Chemical Ali” pictured at right) this evening at their wine tasting parties.
The FACT is that Sadaam and his henchman were terrorist thugs who were murdering their own people. Through the political courage of George W. Bush and the actual courage of the American Soldier, the Iraqi people have been liberated from a madman.
This is the inconvenient truth for liberals. Somebody should make a movie.
