It’s Great to See Dems Take Themselves Out

In a stunning speech to the Council on Foreign Relations, John Edwards took himself right out of the running to be President. Edwards, who as a former trial lawyer knows a good theme when he hears one, said that there is no such thing as the “War on Terror.”

Any good trial lawyer will tell you that what he does in a trial is storytelling. And Edwards was one of the best. Remember his closing argument where he was telling the story of a little girl who had died at the hands of a defendant doctor and Edwards got so caught up in the story he was spinning that he told that jury that he was channeling the girl in his closing argument? Spooky.

Well, the Breck Girl’s speech to the CFR yesterday was spooky as well. In the face of an unrelenting enemy who is determined to kill as many Americans as it can, anyone who denies that there is a Global War on Terror is disqualified to be the Leader of The Free World.
