We’re Not In Kansas Anymore

“Who then is this, that he commands even winds and water, and they obey him?”
     - Luke 8:25, ESV

As if on cue, just days after a tornado devastated Greensburg, Kansas, Democrats have rushed to blame George W. Bush for this natural disaster. On her blog, Pelosi actually links the war in Iraq to the destruction caused in, ahem, Kansas. She writes, “The war in Iraq has had a serious impact on the National Guard and its ability to protect and assist Americans in times of disaster here at home. On Friday May 4th, a massive tornado ripped through the town of Greensburg, Kansas killing at least 10 people and leaving the town in ruins.”

We’re not in Kansas anymore!

If only we’d have had several Guard units posted around the perimeter of the town, instead of around Ramadi. Maybe then they could have stopped the tornado! Just picture it with me… hundreds of Humvees with industrial-sized fans on their roofs counteracting the winds from the storm. Or, since W. obviously has the brain-washed Religious Right in his back pocket, maybe he should have ordered them all to pray to Jesus that he would make the storm just go away like he did in Luke 8:25.

Democrats have become so good at the “Blame Game” that it has become a knee-jerk reaction. A Rasmussen Reports poll found that 35% of Democrats believe Bush knew about the 9/11 attacks before they happened, so it’s not much of a stretch to think they would also believe that he knew about, or even caused, this tornado as well. Talk about out of touch with reality!

This is just another example of Democrats showing that they will stoop to any level to bash the President, even if that means exploiting a devastated town in Kansas.
